Post-specialization, Dr. Hema Krishna P served as an Associate Consultant at the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata, where he focused extensively on Movement Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Hrishikesh Kumar. He further enhanced his skills through a Fellowship in Movement Disorders at the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, Kerala, and a Basic Fellowship in Headache and Pain Medicine from the Aesculap Academy (Daradia).
Recognized as one of the Best Deep Brain Stimulation doctors in Bangalore, Dr. Hema Krishna P has been actively involved in the care of over 50 patients undergoing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery for Parkinson’s disease and Dystonia. His expertise covers every stage, including patient selection, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative monitoring with Microelectrode Recording (MER), and post-operative programming.
